Hi, I'm George. When I'm not writing software, you'll usually find me with a camera, looking for something interesting to photograph.
Photography started as a way to capture memories from my travels. At first, I simply wanted to bring home more than a collection of snapshots from the places I'd visited. Over time, it became part of how I experience those places and a reason to seek out new experiences altogether.
These days, what excites me most is the opportunity to photograph something I've never photographed before. I enjoy the challenge of adapting to new subjects, environments, and conditions, and photography often gives me a reason to seek out experiences I might otherwise have missed.
My background in software engineering has probably shaped how I approach photography. I enjoy the balance between patience and precision: paying attention to light, composition, and timing while staying open to the unexpected moments that can't be planned.
This portfolio is a collection of photographs from my travels, personal projects, and the experiences photography has encouraged me to pursue.
